I hope you are all doing well in your bubbles and have enjoyed the small freedoms that have come under the new look Level 3 lockdown.
Just an update in regards to the Enrolment Scheme put in place by the Ministry of Education from 1st July 2021.
With the introduction of an Enrolment Scheme which includes a school zone there are some changes to the enrolment process.
We now have in zone enrolment applications, out of zone enrolment applications and Special programme (Nga Muka and EDN) applications and a ballot process to follow.

NEW ENROLMENTS FOR 2022:
The closing date for 2022 out of zone enrolments is 15th October 2021, with the ballot being drawn on or before 30th October 2021. All applicants that have entered into the ballot for 2022 will be advised of the outcome within 5 school days after the ballot has been drawn.
Any current families that have children (siblings) that they want to enroll at Birkdale North School for 2022, if they are either living outside the school zone or wanting to enter Nga Muka or EDN, they will need to complete an enrolment form and ballot form for each child, then return these to the school office before 3pm Friday 15th October 2021, along with the required documentation.
If you know any families that wish to enroll their children at Birkdale North School for 2022 and they are either living outside the school zone or wanting to enter Nga Muka or EDN they will need to complete an enrolment form and ballot form also, then return these to the school office before 3pm Friday 15th October 2021, along with the required documentation.
Once the ballot has been drawn all applicants will be advised of the outcome within 5 school days.
